NSD Inland Port has the facility infrastructure, operational staff, and business systems to provide a variety of transloading and rail terminal services. NSD’s current services simply reflect the first customers’ needs. This includes rail car storage and transloading of liquids and dry bulk materials.
NSD’s facility master plan includes room to expand the facilities and equipment to offer any of the services listed below.

Our company strives to meet and surpass regulatory requirements and industry standards, with a direct commitment to employee safety, public well-being and protection of the environment.
Safety
NSD holds an Operating Permit under the Railway Safety Act with Technical Safety BC, supported by a Safety Management System and General Operating Guidelines for our railway operations. For non-railway activities such as transloading and maintenance, we develop and maintain Operating Procedures and Job Risk Assessments that comply with WorkSafeBC guidelines and industry best practices.
We manage a high volume of Dangerous Goods, with all employees trained in safe handling procedures and spill or accident response. Our transloading rail spurs are designed various commodities, incorporating appropriate track and spill containment systems.
NSD remains committed to upholding and enhancing these practices as the facility continues to grow.
